50 West's tasting room and vineyards sit high on a bluff offering stunning views of the Bull Run Mountain range. We make both red and white wines produced in the classic Bordeaux style of France.
As one of the larger vineyards in the state we grow fruit on five farms in northern Virginia. We are proud of our reputation for growing delicious fruit to make exceptional wine.
In order to make the most of your time at our winery, please review these frequently asked questions which will assist you in planning your visit.
Hours of Operation
Our Tasting Room is open on the following days:
- Friday: 1:00pm – 8:00pm
- Saturday – Sunday: 11:00am – 6:30pm
- Last call is 30 minutes prior to closing
Our winery will be closed for business the following holidays:
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
- New Year’s Day
Our Tasting Menu provides the opportunity to sample six of our current wine releases, which will be a selection of both whites and reds. Tastings are $10 for individuals. Groups of seven or fewer people can be accommodated without reservation during normal business hours.

Children who are under the supervision of an adult at all times are welcome to our winery.
We offer a Light Fare menu, featuring food baskets you can mix and match to your taste, including: freshly baked bread, crackers, imported meats and cheeses and tapenades. We even offer gluten-free items. Prices vary based on selections chosen.
Outside food is permitted outside on the patio and the picnic areas.
We have designated handicap parking by the side entrance of The Tack Room.
We encourage responsible drinking and having an appointed designated driver.
Limousines and other hired transportation carrying groups that have made prior reservations are welcome at 50 West Vineyards. All reservations for groups using hired transportation can be made between 11 am and 2 pm on Saturday and Sundays. Hired transportation carrying unreserved groups and/or groups that are not exercising responsible drinking will be asked to carry on to their next destination.
In accordance with VA Alcohol Beverage Control laws, alcoholic beverages other than those purchased at 50 West Vineyards are NOT allowed on the property. Individuals or groups that don’t comply with this policy will be asked to leave.
Friendly pets are welcomed on the property outside of the tasting room. Per Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) law, pets must remain outside the tasting room at all times. This rule applies to all Virginia wineries. Please remember to clean up after your pet, and use the pet waste station. Pets are not permitted in the Member Clubhouse.
Smoking is allowed in designated areas on the property. Please use the tobacco waste recepticle provided to help keep us clean and green.
